Our principal, Nadine Hancey has accepted the position of Principal at Santa Clara Elementary. We have grown to love and respect Mrs. Hancey and we will miss her. We wish her success and happiness in her new position. Thanks for all you have done for La Verkin Elementary!

The District is pleased to announce the selection of Nadine Hancey as the Principal of Santa Clara Elementary School, replacing Kathy Petersen who accepted the position of Title I Director. Nadine is currently the Principal at LaVerkin Elementary School.
Nadine Hancey earned her Bachelors Degree from the University of Utah. Shortly after graduation she and her husband moved to St. George where she began her teaching career in 1979. She has been a classroom teacher at Washington Elementary and Sunset Elementary, a Staff Developer and Reading Recovery teacher at Red Mountain Elementary, and most recently the principal of LaVerkin Elementary. She earned her Masters Degree and her Administrative Endorsement from SUU. Nadine currently lives in Ivins. She is married to Kevin who works at Dixie Stake College. They have three daughters (all married), two grandsons, and one more on the way any day. She is excited to join the faculty and staff at Santa Clara but will deeply miss the wonderful friendships she has made at LaVerkin Elementary.
